Claire McCarthy        

Claire trained in the South of England as an Opera singer during her years at music college, initially singing nothing but a classical repetoire. When moving back to the North East of England she decided to become more diverse with her talent and started performing in most musical styles. She has worked as a Wedding Singer for 19 years and is proficient in her craft. 

Claire is completely professional and meets everyone of her clients. After an initial phone correspondance with the client she will hold rehearsals with her Pianist and perform at your venue on the allotted date.

Her styles of musical performance are varied and have included singing with various English choirs as a guest soloist, Musical Theatre, Solo Performance and currently is a member of a six piece Funk and Soul Function band.

Special Weddings also offer you the chance to have an intimate band who can play a gentle array of music throughout your daytime reception.

 This keeps your guests entertained and allows you to relax and not have to worry about any awkward silences  amongst your guests during your meal. This service provides gentle backing music - non evasive which  is consequently a very popular service that truely delights you and all your guests.

A Female Singer and Pianist will entertain you with the added bonus of guitar and/or drums at your request.

Buddha Lounge

Buddha Lounge is a six piece Funk and Soul band, available for any venue - large or small.  Formed and based in the North East of England, we travel to any area for any occasion. Available for Weddings, Birthdays, Conferences/Corporate events, General social gatherings and any other Function required.

We are a band of six professional musicians who enjoy what they do, are fully competent and thrive on entertaining.

Our line up includes:
